You type in a title and link, and it spits out your odds based on old front-page data. Cute idea, right? Well, the comments instantly turned this from a product launch into a full-on crowd roast.

The biggest side-eye came from users who said the whole thing misses the point because success on the site isn’t just math — it’s moderation, timing, and, according to one especially salty commenter, even “shadow banning.” Then came the delicious irony: the creator’s own post apparently scored just 49/100, yet it was sitting at #1 anyway. That contradiction sent the replies into comedy mode, with people gleefully quoting the tool’s advice and mocking how confidently it told the winner to improve its title.

And then the drama got spicier. One commenter flat-out suggested the post’s fast early votes looked like a vote ring, which is internet-speak for “your friends may have helped a little too much.” Others leaned into absurdist parody, joking that a fake post like “I built a bicycle that runs on my fridge (written in Rust)” would probably get a perfect score. In other words: the app tried to predict the crowd, and the crowd responded by becoming the real show.
