Anthropic just unveiled Claude Corps, a flashy new fellowship that promises to pay 1,000 early-career workers $85,000 plus benefits to spend a year helping nonprofits use its artificial intelligence chatbot, Claude. The company says it will put up $150 million, train fellows, place them at groups like food banks, youth programs, and veterans’ organizations, and sell the whole thing as a way to spread AI’s benefits during a time of job disruption. Noble mission? Maybe. But the comments section immediately turned into a full-on trust exercise — and let’s just say the crowd did not fall backward.
